British-American sister act, The Sonflowerz, are experiencing their most successful year yet. In August of 2007, the act won first place in the Vocal Duo competition and won Best Over-All Vocal Group at the 33rd annual GMA Music in the Rockies. Soon after, they began working on their 3rd studio release "All Over The World". As their radio single "Edge Of My Seat" hit #1 on the CRW IAA Radio chart in the first week, the momentum didn't stop there. "My Adoration", an original worship song written by lead singer and guitarist, Elissa Leander and producer Don Koch, ranked in the Top 5 of the national Inspirational CRW radio chart.

The Sonflowerz began in 1999 when Elissa Leander began writing original worship songs at the age of 14. Encouraged by her youth pastor to form a band with her sister, Becca (bass/vocals/keyboard), they began performing at venues across their home state of Colorado. The act’s first album, You Remain, and single, Crazy Love, were released in 2002. Their sophomore effort, Alive in You, was released in 2005.

Youth events, women's conferences and worship services are all part of The Sonflowerz touring ministry. They have partnered with speakers such as Nigel James (Third Day’s on-road Pastor), author and speaker Lisa Bevere. They have shared the stage with artists such as Jeremy Camp, Kutless, Phil Wickham, BarlowGirl, and Sanctus Real. “These girls are the real deal. They are talented musicians and true artists, but what really sets them apart is their passion for God. We are excited to watch them make an impact on the world,” says Alyssa Barlow of BarlowGirl.

With a vision to reach the U.S. and beyond, The Sonflowerz have traveled to the United Kingdom multiple times. A love for Great Britian runs deep in their family, as Elissa and Becca are half British. "It was such a natural thing for us to tour in the U.K. because we feel at home there," says Becca. Their reception abroad has been overwhelming. Their second album single 'Move Me' hit #4 on the European Christian Music Chart, above songs by major label acts such as Stephen Curtis Chapman, Kutless, and Audio Adrenaline. "We are excited to go back, and we love spending time in schools and joining local church outreaches there."

Their brand new 3rd album "All Over The World", released May 13th 2008, produced by Dove Award-winning songwriter Don Koch, is a collection of 11 new songs highlighting their maturity as artists and songwriters.
The album features songs written by Elissa or co-written with The Sonflowerz, Don Koch and songwriter Brian White. Becca contributed bass while Elissa recorded acoustic guitar. Musicians such as drummer Dan Needham and guitarist Michael Hodge added to the sisters’ efforts on the new album.

“When I first met The Sonflowerz, I was taken back by how transparent their hearts are,” Don Koch says. “I could easily see Christ in them. Their passion for family, for ministry, and their love for singing come shining through. But there is more. They are really talented. It is an honor and privilege to be working with them.”

Along with the release of their new CD, The Sonflowerz will be touring the U.S. in 2008, and are currently booking youth and women’s conferences, retreats and other events. “During our travels we’ve met a lot of young people who are hurting,” Becca said. “More than ever, they are searching to fill a void. We want these songs on this new record to point the way to Jesus.”

"All Over The World" will be distributed in the U.S. through the distribution channels of Indie Extreme, the independent label management firm that administers Sonflower Records. Integrity Europe will distribute their albums overseas
