Christopher Wade MacArthur was born April 7, 1964 in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. He played piano and sang in his father's church since the age of seven years old. At age fifteen, Chris turned professional and played the club circuit throughout
Canada and the United States.
In 1986, Chris moved permanently to the United States. He became lead singer in a group based out of Fort Myers, Florida, performing the club circuit in the Southern states with his high energy stage show. Chris was garnering notoriety and developed a loyal following. He maintained his day jobs consisting of rounding up cattle or swinging a hammer. Chris is also an accomplished carpenter and a fine horseman to boot!
Chris moved to Nashville in 1992, where his first job was working as a carpenter on Tammy Wynette's house. One afternoon, while working there, he saw several keyboard players going through the house and asked what was going on. Chris was told they were auditioning for Tammy's band, so he asked if he could audition. Chris borrowed Tammy's keyboards and was hired as her keyboard player that afternoon. While with Tammy, Chris appeared on The Tonight Show, Arsenio Hall Show and Nashville Now. Chris' most rewarding performance with Tammy was participating in the United Cerebral Palsy Starathon 1993, NBC Studios, New York.
Currently, Chris is writing, playing and recording for Coat of Arms Records. Also, he has a farm in South Florida where he and
his wife Lisa have their horses.
